Aqua Terra Restoration was founded in 2000 (as Western Watersheds) by Arlin Grimes. Arlin sought to provide contractors and direct clients with educated, created solutions to environmental restoration challenges. Since it's inception, with a core staff of scientists and skilled equipment operators, ATR has completed more than 150 projects in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Alaska, Washington and Wyoming.
An understanding of the natural environment greatly enhances ATR's ability to collaborate on the goals of the project, work with the project leaders and provide a better final product. While partnering with the US Forest Service (USFS), US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Ducks Unlimited, land trusts, private consultants and individuals, ATR has improved habitatand waterways in a variety of ecosystems.
